I went in to renew my insurance yesterday, there was 2 ladies in the shop, and im told one was the manager. and there was no other customers. I have a leased vehicle so needed the ladies to make 1 call to confirm, with another icbc agency that they could could go ahead and renew the insurance policy as normal. thats it, 1 call. doesn't seem like much to ask, ive seen many agents make calls in my driving life when renewing insurance. . But this particular lady really struggled with that concept.and drug her feet about it, when She finally aggreed & made the call then looked at me and said, "the lines busy. I can't do anything more. " Seriously.?? most folks know when a lines busy, you can call back again in a minute. But not this lady. she was stumped, and I was honestly in shock that this was such a struggle. So I thanked them for their time, and said I'd go somewhere else, because this was clearly too difficultfor them. I couldn't help it. I was so frustrated they couldn't do this simple task, thats part of their job. and just FYI. I called a local insurance agent from back home in Victoria this am. they renewed my insurance in under 10 minutes over the phone.. after this I definitely wanted to share my experience. because their inability to do their job left me out of town with NO insurance. and there was nothing complex about this renewal
