Core Insurance

Registered and insured my out-of-province vehicle here. Kim was so great! She worked out an obstacle that I was responsible for so professionally and quickly. She explained everything she was offering so clearly and surpassed my expectations when it came to value. Her calm and warm personality helped balance the anxiety I was feeling about the whole process.

Once again Core delivers above and beyond. A huge thanks to Kassandra for doing an outstanding job and making the renewal seamless and easy. A team of people who genuinely care.

If I could leave no stars, I would. This is the only poor review I've ever left for a company...and this really disappoints me to do, but people need to know. My husband and I went into this office to get insurance for one of our vehicles that still had Washington state plates. When we originally went in, the first girl we worked with told us what we needed to get everything switched over. We came back with everything asked of us, and the next girl told us we didn't come with everything needed and turned us away. This was very irritating for us because people were harassing us about COVID and us having American plates. We even had a woman spit at us. Not to mention the long haul of paperwork and running around we did. The third time we went in, they finally gave us license plates and insurance, but made that quite the hassle. The overall energy from staff was quite condescending. Here's the craziest part of all--when my husband had his driving history updated on his driver's license from a record the states provided, he went to CORE to update this info so our rate would go down...The office tried telling him they had to cancel his current policy (only been a month) and start a whole new policy, as well as get new license plates put on our vehicle. He immediately left, upset. We called the other company who insured our other, newly purchased car, and she advised us: NO, you don't need a new policy and NO, you don't need new license plates. We will not be returning to this insurance office. They more likely than not make a commission off of you and that is their only concern. I worked in insurance in America and know that cancelling and rebuilding a policy gives you commission. The fact that they tried to dupe us is insulting. Don't let them do it to you. Go to REAL INSURANCE. You'll thank me later. EDIT: In response to CORE, you took my review out of context and gave it a new story. You can flip and change the story to suit your position, but it is not proper. I am a licensed insurance agent (have been for years) and I know how these things work. I even spoke with other agents, particularly in BC, to verify what you were trying to do was unnecessary and they believed your office's behavior was bizarre. I'd suggest re-reading my review and understanding the exact details. No one should ever have to cancel their insurance policy to purchase a new policy because their driving record was updated with ICBC, or have to get new license plates. It really doesn't make any sense to me or licensed BC Insurance professionals. So thank you for your said graces. We lucked out with our other, honest agent. We hope to be your only bad review, and I'd suggest starting by having proper procedures in place for future clients. Good luck.
