Reviews
I usually don't write negative reviews about small businesses, but both myself and my partner have had multiple negative experiences at this bike shop. Staff haven't seemed very knowledgeable about products, I've gotten surprised by gigantic bike repair charges, and the bike mechanics have come across as condescending at times. I'm sure the staff are great as individuals and I've also encountered some very helpful and friendly people working here, but on the whole, this shop has often seemed disorganized, poorly ran, and frustrating to deal with.
Excellent service. These folks went above and beyond to get me sorted. The mechanic did a great job and the staff were knowledgeable and went out of their way to help me get what I needed. I had a really tight time line I recognize they were busy and I wouldn't have expected such a spectacular turnaround. I am so thankful.
Purchased two brand new Norco bikes and one was not set up properly and needed a brake cable replaced.
I took it to North Shore Norco as it was my local shop for warranty work on the brand new bike and was treated like dirt. Contacted Norco corporate and received lip service. I'll being paying myself to fix the problem on a new bike.
Poor service seems systemic in the Norco organization.
I have only owned Norcos; unfortunately after their treatment never again
They could have saved a decades old customer from what would be a simple cheap fix.

As response to your comment on treatment of your staff, I only spoke with the manager Tristan, as I made an appointment. I never once raised my voice or used foul language. I also think it’s important to keep in focus.. my brand new bike was damaged due to improper installation.
I simply pointed out that the Norco website clearly states under the "Warranty" section "feel free to reach out to your closest local dealer for assistance". Norco North Shore (Owned by Norco Corporate) is 450 meters from my home (local).... The other location is 5 cities away, over 50KM.
I find it rather disappointing that a company would stoup to such a low blow, and quite frankly, lies, when saying I treated them poorly. Unless making legitimate complaints to only the manager is poor treatment to "staff".However, in this case it is unsurprising.
Just look at the review four down from Mary White... And then two below that....Same experience. Coincidence... think not.
Bought 3 bikes here before, came with wife to look for a bike, 3 customers inside and employees no one wearing a mask, we ask to take a look into a bike for the wife, we both with mask and I'm asked what type of bike, answer we would like to take a look first and they say if you don't know what bike I can't let you in. What a horrible service, you want to stay safe, keep the distance, wear a mask and ask customers to wear one and keep your hands and surfaces clean but instead tells the customer that comes to buy to know what bike they want before they enter... Are we supposed now to know model and type of bikes they carry? Bad service and bad sales.
If you're employees are going to insist that all customers wear masks, we would expect that every employee in the store be wearing one as well as opposed to, grudgingly, putting them on only after the hypocracy is pointed out. This bad behavior reflects poorly on the Norco brand as well as the intergrity and professionalism of every employee in the store. Epic FAIL.
