Bicycle Sports Pacific

I ordered a bike August 1st, and was told it would take a couple weeks to arrive (so I subsequently sold my own bike). We're now 2.5 months after ordering the bike, with no sign of the bike, no telling me when it will arrive (even though I was told "next week" on 4 different occasions), and I have missed the entire season as a result. I hope they can make this right, and if they do I will remove/update my review, but until then I am not a happy customer.

I recently bought a newly built bike off Kijiji. It was imported in and the guys I bought it off told me they weren't professionals at building bikes and I should get it tuned up. I brought it to Bicycle Sports Pacific after first being quoted $320.00 at another bike shop and a 3 week wait. They got me in right away, had my bike done within a week, and only charged me the flat rate of $100 for the tune up, but they went above and beyond on my bike and could have easily charged my twice as much for the work they did. I am new into mountain biking and I really appreciate them for going out of their way to make the best of a bike that may have not even been worth the purchase. As far as I am concerned there won't be any other place I shop at as I progress into this new hobby.

Worst customer service experience in this senior citizen's lifetime! Note: Do not stop reading when you see, "Langley" (store location), as my narrative includes communications with head office. As such, I believe it appropriate to post a review to their other local stores, too. October 15, 2020 - I wished to have two IGH wheels built. The BSP website pop-up offered "Questions? Please fill in below and we'll get back to you ASAP". I used that contact form to send a query to BSP on or about October 15, 2020. I have copied my query below. "Hello. I need to build two (2) rear wheels. The Alfine S7001 8-Speed Disc Brake Rear Hub that you folks sell is my preferred hub. I researched this hub thoroughly, but I need to confirm some assumptions before committing. Can you steer me to your most knowledgeable Shimano IGH person? I hope I can quickly resolve my IGH questions so we can work-out the details of the wheels build. Thanks" October 22, 2020 - No reply received to my contact form query. So, on this date, I repeated my query via email to the Langley, BC, store. October 30, 2020 - Me having received no replies, my wife telephoned the Langley store to determine if my email had been received. An employee put down the phone for a few moments, purportedly to check. He returned to advise they had received my email message, apologized for the delay, and promised a quick reply. November 05, 2020 - Having heard nothing, I emailed the admin office of BSP to ask that my query be answered. I received a same day reply from Kamlesh stating, "We will look into this for you and let you know what's going on." November 11, 2020 - Contrary to the promise, no one had let me know what was going on. I emailed Kamlesh asking for an update. I received a same day reply, "Thanks for this, I will check with them in the morning." November 19, 2020 - Nothing further from BSP. I can't be certain whether this poor customer service is rooted in incompetence or indifference. Regardless, BSP is NOT RECOMMENDED.

Knowlegable and friendly staff. Sergio gave very good advice when we were debating between 2 bikes. He was not pushy at all towards the more expensive model. He also helped install the cassettes on two bike trainers and made sure its as hassel free as possible for us when we set up at home. Highly recommend BSP North Van. Happy customer!
