I am disappointed in this dealer. While they were quick to squeeze the truck in for an appointment they were to quick to diagnose. Their sensor reader said it was the mass air flow sensor that wouldn't allow the truck to start (a mass air flow sensor is similar to your range hood vent with the little flapper that closes when turned off, not actually a sensor at all) If one were to think about it how does air stop the truck from starting, it doesn't. After dutifully paying $550 I brought the truck home and much to my dismay it would not start in the morning, they were definitely shocked but could get it back in right away. We looked at it ourselves and discovered that the fuel filter was mostly disconnected, that would be a good reason for the truck to not start ... lack of fuel. I am disappointed to think that they would have taken the truck back in and suggest (like they had the day before) that the fuel pump would need to be replaced because it wasn't getting enough fuel to turn over. Be wary of stand alone computer diagnoses as it doesn't think it just reads, $550 is a hefty lesson, please learn from mine.
