Rock City Cycles rocks! I have had my Specialized Diverge serviced there on three separate occasions and each time it was done in a timely and professional manner. As an avid cyclist and a former DS for a development team, I’ve been to many bike shops all across North America and never have I been to a bike shop that is so over the top good. My last service exceeded expectations when I needed a bottom bracket replaced. Not only was it completed professionally, my bike was returned to me cleaned and looking brand new! Rock City Cycles obviously knows that small things matter. Case in point is when I recently brought my bike and my wife’s bike in for minor adjustments, on two separate occasions, and Doug promptly solved my issues at no charge. Rock City Cycles also solidly stand behind their brands, regardless of where they were purchased, which is a class act. I highly recommend Sean and his personable and professional team for all your cycling needs. They will not disappoint.
Always a pleasure to deal with the folks at RCC. Great service and selection!
I recently bought my first road/gravel bike, which I felt intimidated about because I am a beginner cyclist. The staff were so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and I went home with a bike that I absolutely love (Salsa Journeyman Sora)! Thank you so much Rock City for offering such great products and service!
Bought a bike that was shipped to Ontario by Canpar "who are below the par" . They delivered the bike to a local courier that left the bike sitting at their location for a week without an attempt to deliver. As soon as I emailed Sean he quickly open a ticket with the shipper to locate the bike which was done the next day and I was able to pick up the bike today. Excellent service before and after sales from Rock City and the team. Thanks Sean
Rock City is a quintessential Local Bike Shop - fantastic boutique service that LBS' have been known for in the past (but don't always quite live up to). Their entire team is consistently and extremely helpful whether you're getting a new $5,000 rig or a handful of spokes.
I recently was in the market for an entry-level mountain bike for my son, who is not a rider (yet). That's a segment of the market that I know very little about, so I went in looking for advice. Although I had indicated my preference for a far more expensive bike, I was encouraged to check out a particular model that had better components and a better frame for the kind of riding that I'm hoping my son will at some point enjoy.
Meanwhile, they performed a complete service on my bike, and diagnosed a couple of issues that I'd been experiencing for a while. Again, rather than trying to sell me on a bearing kit (full-suspension), which would have been a considerable expense, they replaced my BB for a tiny fraction of the price and sent me on my way. Oh, and little things like giving me a discount on accessories for that new bike, and tossing in a few freebies (Presta/Schrader adapters and bells) were super cool too!
Honestly, the freebies and discounts are super appreciated, but not at all expected, and the rating is for the service I received, not the discounts. I went in half-expecting to get bored/surly service when talking about bikes that cost less than individual components on their mid-to-high end bikes. I got tons of information, and several ideas for encouraging my little ripper, including referrals to bike camps in the area.
I honestly can't say enough about Rock City. They aren't the closest shop for me by far, but unless I need something specific for my bike (they're not a licensed dealer), I'll absolutely go back there every time (plus, kid #2 is having a birthday this summer too, and his bike is looking a little small...).
Thanks for a great experience, Rock City!
