We recently purchased a new X1 from BMW Nanaimo and were very impressed by the attitude and service received from everyone, but particularly from Ben Thirlwell. There was never any pressure or the "car salesman" tactics usually experience in car dealers. He was professional and respectable, never pushy and very patient with my many questions. He really made us feel like he was trying his best to achieve exactly what we wanted. Ken made a great effort on the financing side to find the right product for us and even managed to reduce the originally quoted %. We are extremely happy with the car and are looking forward to a long relationship with both the car and the BMW Nanaimo dealership.

Just bought a X3M competition and the experience was excellent. We dealt with Ben as sales consultant and he let us test drive the car on great handling road no issues and was never pushy about making a sales. Recommend this dealership for your BMW needs and if you have to deal with Ben you will be in good hands! Also for those looking to trade their car in, it was quick and painless and we got good value for our trade in, did not have to haggle.

After countless visits and emails we agree on price and rate of financing. A full WEEK later, I have a sit down appointment with Ken Taylor, their finance guy to sign off on the deal after I had put a non refundable deposit. Basically Ken bumped the interest rate up from 4.99 to 5.99 and tried to get me to sign without mentioning that the agreed rate had been changed. Sneaky sleaze bag tactic. Once I brought it up, he gave me the “bank won’t do better than that” speech. Even though I knew he was being dishonest, I signed and bought the car but that’s the first and last time they’ll ever get my business. Ken was dishonest and I feel like he didn’t have the best of intentions. I have an excellent credit rating and I know they make a few grand more if they get me to agree to a higher rate of interest. On the positive side, my experience with Yaowen the sales representative was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable, professional and forthcoming.

I recently purchased a used vehicle and Ben Thirlwell went above and beyond with ensuring that the process flowed smoothly from start to finish. There was never any pressure involved in decision making and this was by far the best purchase experience I have had with a vehicle. Big kudos to Ben and the rest of the team at BMW Nanaimo for making the normally stressful process of buying a car an easy one.
