I love little bike workshops like this! It's a bit disorienting the first couple times but all the volunteers and other people are helpful and friendly, all the equipment is super affordable, and I just really enjoy it. It's not a professional bike shop, it's a do-it-yourself-with-guidance workshop, so think of it more like going to your friend's garage and you will be happy!

This place is a Montreal gem. They teach you how to fix your own bike (guiding you step by step) and they sell you parts at rock bottom prices. Be prepared to get dirty, literally, as you repair your own bike under the guidance of volunteer experts.

This is a community-based bike workshop. The fee for non-members is $2 per use of the shop, plus supplies if needed. Membership is $20 per annum and helps support the shop. The volunteers are super friendly and helpful.

Good volunteers and good tool sets. All you need to fix your bike and learn how to do it yourself. GET THERE EARLY IF YOU WANT A SPOT! Popularity has its downsides. :-)

Not welcoming, and pretty bigoted employees. I felt really uncomfortable with the environment. Technical skills regarding bikes repairs are way below average of a Bike Shop
