Bacchus Books and Cafe

Super helpful, warm, & cozy bookstore that has a little magic inside. The women at the front desk helped me pick a good book from my pile of helplessly undecided. I am always grateful for a helping hand :)

This is more about the cafe than the bookstore - the store is well stocked and well organised with some great displays and friendly staff that know their stuff. New and used books available. The cafe has recently changed hands. It's now run by Katie Mitzel, who is a well know local chef and author (the Skoki Cookbook, Rocky Mountain Cooking ) and Petra Musik They have put together a simple but very tasty menu, and have a good selection of teas and tasty coffee. If you are after a quick lunch, vegan friendly meal or treat, this should be you first stop!

Small but mighty! A delicious menu in the Cafe upstairs, and eclectic secondhand book selection

I find great comfort in book stores every where I go. This one has a small cafe upstairs. Its an older building right on main street in Golden. I am a writer and pre Covmunism I enjoyed taking my computer to Bacchus. Writing is isolating already but with Covmunism it can be unhealthy to be all alone 24/7. This old building inspires me with its smells of books and wisdom. The staff is very helpful. The creaks on the stairs even the super neat wallpaper in the bathroom brings comfort and security in an odd way. Ah writers ...
