Had a stressful day the other day, when losing my bag on the train. I was stressed but all the staff at the station were helpful, especially George. He helped secure my bag and got it returned to me. Whilst I waited for my bag to return, George told me about a local pub and about where abouts in Abergavenny I could go, the time passed smoothly and it calmed me day. George had a friendly conversation with me and he was such a nice guy, came to the train with me to receive my bag
The man in the cafe here dispenses drinks and snacks with such joy and charm, it's always a pleasure to visit
A trek from the town centre. Currently undergoing renovation - not before time!
Cozy little station with sheltered waiting area on BOTH platforms. Northbound platform has a cafe with a very friendly proprietor who's always interested in talking to you/making you feel welcome.
I'm going to counter the guy who said 'no step-free access to southbound platform' and say there is. If you ask at the ticket office, they open the gate and actually HELP you across. So yes, good service.
