Very beautiful. Scenic natural beauty. Must visit during loch lomond trip. Very convenient to travel from Glasgow.
A very beautiful place to stay or visit when up in Scotland has lots of pubs and restaurants over looking the loch and boat trips around the loch and a great place to spend time there lovely parks and gardens and very dog friendly area
Terminus of the suburban line between here and Airdrie. The nice original station building was across the road, and is now a visitor information centre. The line used to continue on to a station on the pier head on the shore of Loch Lomond, where passengers and goods could transfer to steam ship to continue North. One of these ships is still in situ, being restored by volunteers, and can be visited.
Today’s station is a single platform, and has a small waiting room and staffed ticket office. No car park, but on street parking in the adjacent side streets.
Lovely family day out
Lovely town and gateway to Loch Lomond! Very friendly andhelpful tourist information centre, just across the train station.
