One of the few station on the West Coastway line where a train can be overtaken. In one direction, of course. Step free access is provided here via lifts down into the subway. Seating and basic facilities such as toilets and cafes are available too. Trains are semi-frequent connecting Brighton, Bognor and Portsmouth/Southampton. Assuming they haven't been delayed, altered or cancelled. So good luck with that.

Quiet for a Saturday? Why is there a ticket gate on the town side of the station yet every one seemed to leave through the unexpected north side?

The train station needs a whole new renovation and there are hardly any staff there. No one manages the kids on their bikes nearly knocking people over and going into the tracks. So dangerous.
