An attractive traditional railway station on the Shepperton Branch. Loco hauled trains pass through very rarely.
Very pretty station which is very clean and well looked after. Seems to be a lack of staff around which can be a bit worrying when travelling in the evening on your own
Very average as stations go with the added benefits of step free access to the platforms. Trains aren't very frequent and only a handful throughout the weekdays go via Twickenham.
My local station. Lovely spot if you want to see some architecture of that era, and an excellent place to feel the true British experience of waiting endlessly for a train which is then cancelled with no warning.
A local inside bit of knowledge - if you actually want to catch a train then I take a bus from Stop D to Kingston and try from there.
The station cafe is great - really friendly owner. He gives biscuits to regulars.
