This is the city's main railway station but it hasn't had the care or love it needs. There aren't enough ticket machines meaning at peak times there are long queues and people missing their trains. The waiting rooms are small and uncomfortable. Choice of refreshments is lacking. If you are waiting for a delayed train, this is not the station to be stuck at.
Such a lovely well kept and clean station. The trains are very clean too with a super smooth ride on the rails. So different to the stations and trains up North! I love travelling to Canterbury by train.
Canterbury west is the closest station to the main High Street. The station has two platforms that have trains to London and Dover. The station is kept in a nice clean condition. The staff there are friendly and are happy to deal with any ticket esquires.
