Not bad two hour trip on the Foremarke Hall
was pretty good. Would go again.
Cheltenham Racecourse Station is a good place to park for the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway. Entry is through the main Racecourse entrance (tell security you're visiting the railway). Note that on normal operating days, the first train doesn't leave until about 11 am, but that still gives you plenty of time to travel the ten miles or so to Broadway, have a wander round the town and come back by train. Check the time of the last return service - it's normally about 4 pm. The Cheltenham Racecourse Booking Office is an original GWR structure, but the rest of this station has been rebuilt by volunteers. The line originally continued into the Great Western Cheltenham St James Station (now closed).
The home of national hunt racing and one of my favourite places to visit. Always love going to the festival
