I rated this station 5 stars purely because of the staff member named Sheree( I think that's how it's spelt), she was so pleasent and helpful, which this day and age is a rarity.if more staff were like this, I'd be happy to catch the train more often.
Small but perfectly formed train station. With two platforms - main routes are London and Portsmouth, no toilets, coffee van outside station during weekday mornings and very little within a short walking distance. I'm always surprised that national rail/south west trains haven't invested more into Hedge End station considering how busy it is.
Extremely friendly & helpful lady in the office.
Nice to see in this day & age.
The Ticket Office often closed and would be nice to have open in the cold months. Not great for wheelchairs from the platform 2 side. Anyone coming off from platform 2 and is in a wheelchair will have to navigate and external muddy path. South West Trains could benefit for doing a lot to change how they work and operate.
TICKET OFFICE NORMALLY CLOSED AT EARLY MORNING TWO TICKET MACHINES SOMETIMES BOTH ARE WORKING LONG QUEUES FOR TICKETS IN MORNING BLOODY NIGHTMARE
