A relatively small basic station with only 2 platforms and also with no ticket barriers making it very easy to get on and off your train. There are shelters with benches underneath if it's rains and train times are clearly displayed on the screens.
Quite average and in some ways, could be seen as bare in terms of facilities, especially compared to other stations that serves an airport. Step free access is available here on both platforms and trains stop here at a decent frequency. The airport is a stone's throw away from platform 2, as well as the bus to the university.
My group of friends and I booked a flight from Southampton parkway airport with Flybe and our flight got cancelled the day before we were supposed to fly out. So we ended up coming into the airport and the staff were so lovely and they managed to sort our problem out within minutes and rebooked our flight for later that day. Very pleased with the staff helpfulness
