Very good service from the station sales & information staff. Very helpful printed my journey timetable, gave advice on off peak trains and total time of 1h 45min so I could plan my day. Also provided a leaflet on how to obtain a travelcard for the over 60 yr old. Friendly cafe inside the station.
Wonderful Town, full of character
Their Station recorded tannoy messages are far too loud. Must be 3 times louder than the mormal pre-recorded tamnoy messages. Please turn this down, I can hear every word through my dounle glazed windows. I have complained 4 times now. In Summer it will make sitting outside or having wimdows open a nightmare.
Good information. Any short cuts to venue not via main road?
Quaint but only filled with the very young and the very old. These two groups of people are at odds with each other. If you happen to see the Christmas lights, you'll probably find they need some work. Also home to one of the worst Costa branches in England. Maximum recommended stay: 2 hours, or a brief lunchtime visit.
