A delightful station with a few nice shops within it and a staffed ticket area that has beautiful ceilings.
Trains seem to run in and out of here fairly well as it’s a major commuter line/station.
A good sense of calm being in the station platform and there are also a few plants which is nice.
Also sheltered areas of the rain comes ☔️

Too much mud by the canal. My canvas shoes are a mess.
Visited during the Summer and my visit was spectacular. Travelled by train from Euston into Berkhamsted station and the trip was fast. Definitely worth getting out of London for the day.
It's a station, from which trains leave, and also, confusingly, some trains arrive, sometimes at the same time?!?! Anyway, from that angle, I guess it's a success. The platforms are adjacent to where the trains arrive, which helps.
Would be good if the ticket machines took cash. Especially since the ticket office is often closed
