Quiet station with electronic service boards to show the status of the schedule.

This train station sits on the railway line that goes towards colne in one direction and towards Blackburn and Manchester and beyond in the other direction. Both platforms do have seating of which some is in a covered waiting area. There are no staff on the site but there is a automatic ticket machine although on the occasion when I was there it wasn't working. There is a level of security provided by the CCTV that is in operation on the platforms. There is no visible signs of any bike racks here. This railway station does not have any area where people can park their cars, and it does not have any area where people can be dropped off and picked up from here. The platforms themselves are clean and tidy although the same can't necessarily be said for the steps and the entrance to the railway station.
