Ipswich Station has everything one needs , fast frequent services to most parts of East Anglia , Essex and parts of Cambridgeshire , Station has Ticket Barriers and plenty of Ticket Vending machines , and lots of shops to get refreshments station and trains are nice and clean , you can also use paperless ticketing to and from this station through a Greater Anglia app

Ipswich railway station is a fairly short walk from the city centre. Although you can take a bus or taxi from the station concourse. There is a booking office staffed by day, or you can use cash or card to buy a ticket from one of the machines inside the main entrance. Access to some platforms is by a covered bridge, which is not wheelchair friendly. However, there is a lift. There are toilets, outside benches, drinks and snack machines (which take cash) and a small independent cafe serving hot drinks and some snacks. Ipswich is on the main London Liverpool Street to Norwich line, but is also a hub linking services across Britain. Check departure times live, as British trains tend to run late or be replaced by buses at weekends due to engineering works.

Great station that has undergone significant improvements since Abellio took over however please please please can someone sort out the secured cycle racks. At best I reckon 20% usage compared to the ones in the car park that attract non cyclists..
