The Station manager was rude and hostile towards me and my child when we were travelling. Our connecting train had been cancelled so we had to wait an hour in the waiting room on a freezing cold night. I am exempt from wearing a mask due to anxiety and wear an appropriate lanyard which I pointed out. He said I was 'putting people at risk' and when I said there is nobody here except you, (he was behind a screen and wearing his mask) he replied 'you are putting me at risk'. I informed the other station staff who just defended him saying he didn't mean it and we found another waiting room where the guard was also reluctant to let us be, due to the exemption . The ticket inspector on the previous train was so helpful and kind and spent at least half an hour trying to help organise our journey due to cancellations, the mask was not even mentioned. People have rights. Am disgusted and he needs some training .

I was very impressed with the help I received on Saturday. I was feeling anxious travelling alone. One of your staff Dani completely went the extra mile to make sure I felt safe. Thank you

Well the station itself has a nice amount of heritage and a healthy selection of trains stopping by to a plethora of destinations such as Paignton, Plymouth, Taunton, Bristol, Salisbury, Manchester and London. It also has a good amount of facilities such as cafes, toilets, staff to help and step free access via lifts. However, prepare to be annoyed if you use the footbridge as the announcements will constantly treat you like an idiot by constantly saying "When using the stairs, please hold the hand rail and take care" every 5-10 seconds.
