Super 8 by Wyndham Lafayette

The room looked nothing like the picture in ad. When I turned on the heat a burned dust smell began filling the room so I turned it off and used the blow dryer to heat the room. There were two wood 2x4 sticking out from under the bed that I banged my ankle on several times. TV did not work until desk manager fiddled with it. I figured out it needed to be turned on then off then back on again to work. 3 second wait before seeing the channel you turned to. Water is undrinkable so bring your own. Plus the towel rack looked ready to fall off the wall.

The hotel was decent with a decent price. It was one of the nicer Super 8's we've stayed in. Modern furniture and decorations. Decent beds(not great though), super soft towels, and no bugs.The check in/front desk lady on the over night shift was especially nice and helpful at check in.

If you're top floor they don't let you smoke on the balcony, but you can smoke at the exact same spot on the ground floor ... You know... Because heat and smoke definitely don't rise ud83dude44

I come to Lafayette Indiana at least once a month and stay at different hotels in the area. I just had a huge event at SoundCheck a local car audio shop and I got my whole staff a room 2 weeks ago and recommended my competitors stay there as well. I enjoyed the stay 2 weeks ago so I thought I’d reserve a room again for Halloween night while I was in town once again. We did not get back to our room till 2am-ish, took showers and finally got to bed. I then got woke up very unpleasantly, I will not blast that here on google, at 3:45ish. I went to front desk was advised the manager wouldn’t be in till 8am.nSo my husband and I left the room by about 5:40 with plans to return at 8 to speak with management. Apparently the 2nd shift guy was called instead of manager, from what I’m told. However, I’m patiently waiting in the parking lot when I saw the manager pull up 12 minutes before 8, instead of immediately addressing the issue she sat in her vehicle texting and smoking.nI go back in at 8 because she did not try to come to me. She tells me her name is Heather. Informs me I was already issued a refund but I wasn’t. This manager did not offer any assistance whatsoever and was very rude, especially due to the Circumstances. Left me to fend for myself with no care in the world that a couple of my personal belongings would have to be specially cleaned or just replaced, never apologized for the inconvenience.nI understand things like this happen from time to time but to treat me they way your manager Heather treated me is....sad. As I told you before I’m in your city at least once a month and if you’d like the suggestion....I’d get a new manager. There is a young lady that has worked for you at different hotels with the BEST Customer Service in Lafayette. Her name is Kerri and I have her contact information. All this young lady needs is a chance to shine and given the chance to prove that this Super8 needs new In-house management.nYour very bummed and exhausted customer,nShannon

Was the worst experience in my life. Took over 40 min. To get checked in teller had no idea how to chech in. Wanted to double bill me. Woke me up at 6:30 in the morning because she said she lost my information. Filled a complaint with corporate just to have the manager call and yell at me. Accused me of having to cats which I told him I had a dog, if his camera was not so grainy he would see I had no pets just carrying my over night bag snack bag and two pillows from home that we use. When he called me he told me he never wanted me back again. He must be out of his mind, would not go back even if they gave me money for staying. In the end STAY AWAY from this place rooms smell and staff less then desirable.
