Aloft South Bend

What makes this hotel really special is its awesome staff!!nI stayed here for about 50 days and it felt like home to me. They are very professional and extremely friendly.nI would like to thank everyone there!!nSpecial thanks to Shelby, Salleigh, Alvin, Tyler, Laurie and Josh for the great conversations and friendly service. Also, special thanks to Alejandra for making sure that I had everything I needed during my quarantine.nnA lot of restaurants are within walking distance, and many others are within a 5-minute drive. Didn't get the chance to try the pool, but the gym is excellent.

Bonvoy member here. Leaving 2 stars because the sales manager Shelby was extremely unprofessional each time we called in with questions. Shelby spoke to us in a demeaning way and acted as if we were pestering her, it’s clear she’s miserable and hates her job. - Asked about hotel occupancy due to COVID and she acted as if it was a nuisance and a task to look this up for us, we were just trying to be safe and make informed decisions. She proceeded to tell us that “it’s downtown” and insinuated this is why it shouldn’t have been a surprise they had a decent amount of guests (I’m from the area and South Bend is small Lol, know your audience). Also, called in to request a late check out and she denied the request, even though it’s clear this hotel is not booked to capacity. First time ever in my experience staying at a Marriott property that a manager was not accommodating for this request in my years of travel. - To add we had to call in 3 times for them to send us our mobile room key (which should be an automated process), luckily Sally pointed out that her manager never pushed through the codes for our room keys, then proceeded to send us a mobile key immediately, Sally was very hospitable and deserves a promotion.nnEvery other employee we spoke with here including Tyler, Sally, and Nick were AWESOME. We got parking waived and received great food suggestions. - Bruno’s pizza will deliver to your hotel room, contactless and leave it at your door.nnAll in all, clean hotel room with a decent location, HOWEVER none of the guests wore masks and were not hesitant to pack an elevator full in light of COVID-19. - Don’t expect any favors from Aloft South Bend, some of there “talent members” need to reconsider why they’re in the hospitality business.

Been here twice and I definitely will be back again. Seemed like i was in a whole different city! The atmosphere is awesome and the employees are even better. So nice I thought I was in California! I will be visiting other locations!

Average review for average hotel. The decor and concept are dated but the stay was comfortable. Appreciate the pet flexibility. Do not appreciate the surprise charge for parking. They ask for a credit card on file for security deposit and then hit you with that gem after you check out. Note that south bend is a dump and there’s nothing going on downtown therefore street parking would be easy to find. Also their ramp isn’t even secure. Pretty sure I saw a couple living out of a jeep on the level I parked on. There is no arm to get in or out so literally anyone can park there.

We recently hosted a wedding at Aloft, and stayed the night in one of the hotel's suites. It's interesting, staying in a hotel in a city that you live in, but Aloft made me feel like a guest in my own city. Very polite, professional, and attentive to my needs. The hotel was recently renovated, and it has a very cool modern vibe to it. No other hotel in the entire region can match the views from your hotel room here.nnThe wedding reception was perfect. The staff very attentive, they took care of everything, made the entire night go very smoothly. The staff even ended up dancing through the end of their shifts as the music played on, which put a smile on our guests' faces. The coordinators for the event space were perfect, they had answers to every questions I could come up with, and they worked with us every step of the way on every detail we imagined for our reception.nnNo other venue space can match the views from the 6th floor ballroom. So glad we decided to go with Aloft South Bend.
