My fiance and I had a nice weekend getaway in August. We found the room to be clean, spacious, and very quiet. The staff was friendly but also unintrusive which we really liked. Our meals were fantastic and the staff even put together dessert one night for us to take to our room. We were pleased with the beer selection. Our first experience at Zorn was not good as they didn't have a selection to meet our different tastes and we were completely ignored by the staff when trying to order. I would say Zorn redeemed themselves on this trip. I find it sad that people have complained in their reviews about the brewery dog, Zeus. He never got in our face, doesn't go in the rooms, and we found him to be quite charming. I do agree that this might have been a bit overpriced. I probably would have paid this much for a spa room at another bed and breakfast. The grounds could be better kept. All in all, we had a great stay and would go back.
Meh...nThe hotel has potential. Really cool location, liked the small hotel feel, and they have truly beautiful grounds. The bartender Donovan was awesome! He seemed to be the only person we encountered that had hospitality experience and he also made an incredible old fashion.nThe rooms were clean but besides the beds they were lacking decoration. The bathrooms need updating and the room overall felt not fully finished. Like others said the walls are thin and you can hear everything in the halls but I didn’t think it was too bad.nThe worst part of our stay was the mask policy...or lack there of. We didn’t see staff wearing masks inside or if they had one it was only hanging around their necks.nTraveling during Covid is weird, and kinda scary but I also think if dome right it can be done and we can still support the travel industry.nI called ahead of time to make sure they had a policy I felt good about and chose this hotel because it was small and it sounded like they had a great plan to keep people safe. I wanted to feel safe and due to the staff not wearing masks, I didn’t.
Staff was so kind and made us feel so welcomed. We only stayed for 1 night, but we are already planning our next stay. This was the most quiet hotel I have even been to! Seriously, this is like a retreat. The bed was super comfy and the rooms are huge! We had an issue with our door and heat (which was fixed within the hour we arrived) and for the inconvenience we came back to our room from having a drink in the lounge and we were surprised with a bottle of champagne and cups for a free drink. These are the small things that count in customer service! We had dinner in the lounge and the food was AMAZING. We had the burger with potatoes and the meat was so tender and juicy. Drinks were good too. Loved seeing Zeus walking around. At breakfast the morning before we departed the lodge, we were sort of late to breakfast but the woman took all of the items back out for us so we could eat. Thank you to everyone at the lodge! We had a great time and we have told all of our friends and family about you. Thank you!
We’ve been coming here for quite awhile for dinner. There seems to be a high turnover of bartenders/wait staff. Not sure why that is, but the bartenders/waitresses seem to only want to be bartenders. We continuously seem to have to wait for service, drinks and placing orders. If it’s busy, that’s understandable, but we usually get there before it gets busy. Tonight we wanted to order dessert. It was 6:45 and they were out of the item we wanted. She said they sold the last one 40 minutes ago. That might be a little more acceptable if you were busy all day. You open at 4 pm. Not sure what that’s about? The food is usually great, but the last few times it’s been very inconsistent and not up to your usual standards. I think it’s time for a break.
My Husband and I stayed here on 8/9 for our anniversary. Very friendly staff. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The supper club was very good as well. If your outdoorsy people you will really enjoy the beautiful grounds. We spent most of the night outside and made a camp fire they have a couple of fire pits and we had drinks in a cooler it was perfect. This definitely felt more like a bed and breakfast type feel more than a hotel and that is a good thing! We definitely will be back.
