I visited the Bike Stop two weeks ago to purchase a new tire for my Jano. My son and I stopped in, I had all the info and spoke to the salesman. He was rude and condescending. He flatly told me that the info I had was wrong, and it doesn't come in that size. I then produced my phone, where I had a picture of the tire. He then proceeded to the computer and told me that the product is on backorder, and nothing else. I then asked how often the store received orders, then I could check back periodically. I could not get a straight answer. After all the pushover reviews , I was quite surpassed. I would much rather promote local businesses, but this kind of service does not facilitate that. Unfortunately, I went to another shop in Chesterton and they were out of the product as well...but they took the time to take my information, acquired the tire, and called me a few days later.
Good selection..helpful staff..prices a bit higher but to be expected

While On a mini vacation, riding bicycle. We rode from South Bend to Michigan City. Stopped in to check air in the tires, plus to look around. My partner also need his bicycle looked at. Beautiful shop. Great customer service, prices were great. I did needed a new seat, found one after talking to Pat, the cost awesome. Pat, thank you for all your help, my new bike seat did pretty good on the way home (35 miles). Pat was very knowledgeable, gave some great feedback on many areas of a female bicyclist. Thank you.
