The Grand Hotel in Salem

The staff was absolutely amazing!! I went and took my date board test and they gave me and my mom a room that is away from the road so it’s quite and I can study without the road noise. Defiantly really care about there guests! They also recommended an amazing restaurant and gave us a map to get to the restaurant. It was kinda a bummer that the restaurant in the hotel was not open would of loved to eat the amazing food. Definitely a wonderful stay over all!!

We enjoy the hotel from moment we checked! Wonderful hospitality!! Staff greeted my daughter and I with a smile. Remembered she was testing following day. They made sure to put us in a quiet room . They also gave us an excellent recommendation for an amazing restaurant! Room was spotless and comfortable! Very sad their restaurant was not open. We hope they return. COVID has been extremely hard on business and I pray for the best outcome for that. Thank you again for your wonderful staff and beautiful hotel!! We will definitely be back!!nBlessings❤

Unbelievable!!! The Grand waived their no pet policy for all the victims of the wild fires. There were no rooms anywhere in any city along the coast of Oregon. On a tip from Corvallis Or. , I heard limited rooms still available at The Grand in Salem. I learned later they waived the no pet policy which I will be ever grateful. 2 dogs is one thing, but a CAT! The front staff are exceptional and treat you like FAMILY. Not a guest but way more than that. They bend over backwards to satisfy every wish. The room was a king suite and it was an excellent room to reduce stress if my home would survive the flames. Every time I would walk in with my dogs the staff would yell and greet me. The management must provide excellent moral, it is clearly apparent by their staff.

Leaves a lot to be desired. Location is the one selling point of this Hotel. Would like to see other amenities for the price of these rooms. Lack of streaming video/audio options was a disappointment and poor breakfast options.nnLooks like they have cut a lot of services and staff, but at what cost? $159 a night for a cheap room, bad coffee, and cheap pre-packaged breakfast maybe worse than just temporarily closing and not taking the quality loss and bad reputation.
