Lori and Kim are the perfect hosts. In the midst of the COVID_19 we never felt safer. Masked were worn the whole time and breakfast was staggered for social distancing. Breakfast was 5 stars all the way, from stuffed french toast, egg and cheese souffle, bacon, blueberry scones, fresh fruits, orange juice, coffee and more, everything was absolutely delicious. The room was spotless and so inviting and comfortable with chocolates on the bedside table. Our ocean view was spectacular. They recommended a whale watching tour which was incredible. Everything was perfect, relaxing and stress free.

Beautiful property on a beautiful stretch of Oregon’s coast. Enthusiastic, fun & helpful innkeepers who can’t do enough for you. Fantastic food!! Super comfy room (Pacific Room) & all around romantic place. Exactly what you want in a B&B.

5 reasons to book your next vacation with Lori and Kim at Pana Sea Ahnn1) Lori and Kim - Amazing humans. **Bonus** if you're lucky, you get to meet the pup duke Reginald.nn2) Location. Breathtaking views and so close to the beach. Depoe Bay is adorable and lots of activities to choose from.nn3) Breakfast, dessert, and wine. We were served fresh fruits, delicious granola parfaits, fresh baked cookies, waffles, and tangerine mimosas. Vegan option available upon request.nn4) Room options. 4 rooms to choose from. We decided to book the Tuscany Suite. We knew we were going to be playing on the beach and we didn't want to bring home wet sandy clothes. The Tuscany Suite has its own washer and dryer. They provide detergent and fabric softener. They think of everything.nn5) Welcoming. My wife and I were ready to decompress as soon as we entered the home. The place felt safe and comforting. Lori and Kim are up to date with the current CDC recommendations regarding COVID.

The Pana-Sea-Ah lives up to its name. At any time, I’m sure, it serves as a retreat from wherever you come from and whatever ails you, but amidst the COVID virus and the wildfires, it was truly a panacea for us. This could be said about many coastal B&Bs, but we found this one exceptional for us veteran B&B goers. The exceptional things to note:n-tLodging – We felt cocooned in a room that shared no common walls with other rooms – very private and very quiet… until we chose to open our balcony door to the murmur (and sometimes roar!) of that beautiful ocean and take in all that is fresh and wild. We were in the Innkeeper’s Room, but we learned that all four rooms have this privacy.n-tInnkeepers – Lori and Kim are seasoned pros and warm hosts responsive to the gamut of guests’ desires for quiet, or socializing. During breakfast we noted Kim’s ease in engaging with guests both shy and gregarious. And the breakfasts – over our 5-night stay Lori prepared 5 distinct and delicious breakfasts, always with plentiful fresh fruit and home-baked goodies (lemon scones like no other!). One morning we overheard a guest ask Lori if she had gone to culinary school – no, but she is schooled by passion and perfection!n-tLocal Sites and Eats – From the inn we walked to the beach, and also took a shady trail through a fairyland of trees, ferns and mushrooms (delicate white ones growing on branches, big orange ones sprouting at our feet) that opened up to a headland with a commanding view of waves smashing against rocky cliffs. I think it was called Fishing Rock. Lori and Kim suggested short drives: to Newport, where we delighted in the antics of sea lions; the imposing historic lighthouse; and the really impressive Oregon Aquarium (the puffins were so cute!). We gorged on local seafood – rockfish, Dungeness crab, Umqua oysters – and local beer (Rolling Thunder was amazing) at the Rogue Brewery. They urged us to take a whale watching excursion, and it was a highlight of our stay – because Depoe Bay has year round whales, they have names! The guide introduced us to Marissa and a juvenile (yet to be named), who spouted and swam around us! Two harbor seals popped up their cute heads in a cove near our boat, and in the clear water we saw many jellyfish – luminescent moon and egg yoke blobs floating right below us.nnThe name Pana-Sea-Ah is a cleverly contrived pun, but there is only genuine and refreshing experiences to be had at this inn!
