Motel 6 Lincoln City, OR

The rooms have been remodeled They look nice We were on the third floor and there wasn't a screen on the on the window so that part was a little sketchy. We had sand all over in our room from going down to the beach. Might recommend some type of foot cleaning area. Or have a broom handy. The housekeeping gentleman was very nice.

Bed was really squeaky... pillows pretty thin. Room was very clean but pretty small. Good no frills hotel. No coffee pot or hair dryer in room, but front office did have a dryer to loan. Front entrance is really steep on the back side... not a good place if you are towing anything...

Some maintenance issues need to be attended to in the rooms. Two different rooms have sinks that leak. Just minor things. Maybe the biggest issue is that their chairs are very uncomfortable, and can pinch the calves after a while. A nice sofa chair or something with padding would be great.

If I could give it a negative star review, I would!nnI'm a client of Red Cross, like many people that are affected by the Echo Mountain Wildfire I was given a room at Motel6 in Lincoln City. I checked-in the evening of October 11 and stayed the night. Everything was going great until the evening of Columbus Day when I got a call from a Red Cross volunteer stating that there was confusion with my room at Motel6. Upon returning to Motel6, I was informed that an employee on the morning shift had checked me out for no reason( I did not physically check-out and there is not a check-out date for any Red Cross Clients) and gave my room to another Red Cross client. When I asked where my belongings were, the front desk employee could not find them. To make matters worse their cameras were not updated and I'm not sure if they have been since, so there were no tapes (convenient!).nWhen I spoke to the GM of the motel, she said that they were not responsible for my loss.nnIf you want to stay at a place like this where the GM( can't even wear a clean uniform and button her shirt up) and staff is not properly trained, practice negligence, don't take responsibility, and refuses to be accountable for their own mistakes, then please spend your hard-earned money here. It is now November 6 and I still haven't heard from the GM or the owner of the location. It is a shame that I have to go public with this issue when the owner could of taken care of this sooner!nnP.s- I've never heard of a GM living in the basement of a Franchise Motel/Hotel she works in. Do all Motel6 locations house their GMs in the basement of each location?
