The Coho Oceanfront Lodge

I’m giving 5 stars with a asterisk. This place is amazing. The staff. The views. The comfort. All top notch. Price is competitive. We have stayed here at least a half dozen times and will continue coming. Here’s the asterisk. It was very clean. Headboard was caked with dust. There was a leftover bar of soap in the soap dish in the shower. A black glove underneath the TV. Random small trash under nightstands etc. Given the circumstances surrounding Covid 19 which I don’t really stress on, it seems the hotels would try their hardest to appear clean, not just on the surface. Having said that, we will always keep coming back and we do love it here, I was just surprised by that. Maybe one time issue?

The rooms are decent sized, they allow pets and have an adults only section of rooms. They have wonderful fire pits and the view of the ocean is fantastic. The continental breakfast is decent. Everything is nicely updated including the small kitchenette in the rooms. Only negatives are the parking spots are.on the small side and there's no A.C. in the rooms.

We were in room 21, a large room with king bed and balcony. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the view was fabulous. We had trouble controlling the heat, but just opened the sliding door a little more. Staff was very attentive. We loved hearing the ocean anyway! A delicious breakfast was still served (during Covid) for takeout only by very friendly staff. My favorite feature was the large gas fire pits on the back lawn facing the ocean. You're protected from the wind and you can enjoy the warmth on a cool evening. The place has done some very nice upgrades. We'll be back!!

This place is amazing! Spent my honeymoon here last year and came back for my anniversary and they remembered us! I didn't even ask but when we showed up they put rose pedals on the floor and in a heart in the bed along with champagne and glasses. They also have an amazing breakfast every morning. The whole staff is fantastic and if I could give them a 100 stars I would.

This lodge is wonderful. The fireplace in the room is perfect for cozy breakfasts while watching the waves. Our room had a kitchenette and a balcony that looked right out to water. The firepits in the evening are a great way to enjoy a glass of wine (which they have available for purchase here) and watch the sunset. I was concerned about not having ac in all the rooms but they provided us with a fan and the room was a comfortable temperature. It is close enough to beach access that you can walk or drive your car down on to the sand. There is an elevator in the lobby and luggage carts to help get everything up to the top floors. They were still serving breakfast but in a different way. You order a box with a hardboiled egg, bagel, and muffin or yogurt for adults. The kids come with cereal, egg, and muffin or yogurt. They also provide fresh fruit smoothies and orange juice upon request. You can also checkout dvds from the front desk and have a movie night.
