I went into Blue Heron Bicycles with my dad when he was visiting, and we had a great experience. My dad is very into bicycles and is a collector, and he was thrilled with the selection of bikes available in the shop, even purchasing one to bring back home with him. I was impressed with the value, the service, and the comfort of the shop: it has that classic bike-shop feel to it, I'll be back, by bike.

I brought in an old bike I had left outside in the mud room for a few years, so it had built up a layer of cobwebs and rust! Blue Heron took care of it, giving the bike a full tune-up for just $70. They even solved an old problem where the brakes would squeal. Super satisfied with my beautiful fixed up cruiser, thank you!!

Best bicycle history and experience combined equals a stellar shop.

So, my neighbor was selling two Trek touring bikes and I bought them for my spouse and I to use for exercise, knowing that one was too large for her and I would need to sell it. I took them into Blue Heron and met Susan, asking to have both bikes tuned up, new seat and peddals for mine, and the bigger bike sold. I described my spouse, we're older, like really older, and asked Susan to pick out a bike for me to take home for my spouse to try out. Susan picked a Marin, model Stinson ST, blue, and my spouse loves it! So, Susan did a great job picking it. And my tuned-up Trek runs like new. We now have a mutual exercise activity for years to come. Thank you Susan of Blue Heron Bicycles.

Brought my bike here for an expensive repair and it broke literally two days later. I wouldn't recommend them. After a few times working with them and getting pricey work done each time, I'm guessing that they're just over there to take advantage of college students who are desperate and don't know better. That's how they got me. I went there the first time when I lived in the dorms and didn't have a car. I don't plan to ever go there again. The service is mediocre, they aren't generally warm or friendly, and they don't give a very detailed document of what repairs they did or why the cost broke down how it did. I don't even think I got a receipt for the last repair, so of course they aren't going to fix their repair job for me. It's fine, I'm just never going again. I should've listened to the other poor reviews. They are there for a reason.
