Location for renting boats, 8 hour or half day. We had the bay watch and did not experience issues although the boat was older. Houseboats look ancient (think oldschool RV on water). They do get you with an extra $25 fee on arrival for “accidental damage.” We didn’t need it but got it anyway for peace of mind. Taking the boat in was a nightmare, too many boats at once and it does take awhile for them to bring up your total (including gas). $500 security deposit.nnLove the lake. Beautiful surroundings, high desert. Water was not that cold. Dozens of tiny silver fish popping up here and there. Saw a bold eagle.nnAs far as boating, the lake is way overcrowded on a Saturday with people that like to park their boat right in the main section for boats to pass by. Can not really speed around. Too many downed tubers.nnBoat equipped with a radio, and has a port for USB. Bring your own cable. Make sure to download your music first, no reception with Verizon to stream.

Just spent 5 days at Cove Palisades. Marina staff were so attentive and made my boat rental experience fun and easy. They had great energy and I enjoyed the food with awesome service as well. Can’t wait to go back!! The area is well kept and gorgeous views.

This reservoir is so big and beautiful it’s basically organs version of the Grand Canyon! You should go check out the Cove Palisades resort while you’re investigating the beauty of Lake Billy Chinook. They have a really cool place down by the lake that serves all of the people who need good with excellent customer service

The park is beautiful, really awe inspiring, the wife and I did some camping and kayaking. Facilities are pretty clean. However, not a single person is making sure customers are wearing masks when required. Even saw 2 park rangers approaching people, literally within a foot or 2 of campers, not wearing masks. We cut our trip short because they are doing nothing about COVID safety. Very unprofessional. Stores and town nearby are the same.

We love the cove in general. The resort store/ restaurant was lacking. It took forever to get our food, very basic finger foods.
