Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus

Very clean and the friendliest staff. Kids love the pool and hot tub. Smart TVs in rooms are nice for Netflix.

The most disgusting room we've ever stayed in! We arrived for our 3 night stay in this hotel to find our room splattered with random blood droplets from the living room area all the way to the first bedroom. We immediately contacted the front desk and they played it off as red fingernail polish. I wiped a spot up off the arm with a baby wipe of the bloody chair before calling down to the front desk to complain in the first place. If it had been fingernail polish it would've been thicker and would not have simply wiped off with a baby wipe. The maintenance guy is the only reason I give this a star at all. The maintenance guy was the only one apologetic about the situation. We are in the middle of a pandemic and we had small children and our room wasn't even thoroughly cleaned to begin with. I asked for another room, but we were told they were completely booked and did not have a room large enough to accommodate our family. We called around to other hotels and they did not have room availability either for a family of 6. So we felt stuck because we had to be in the area for a local softball tournament. We've asked for a refund now for nearly 2 weeks and they will not even credit back one night because the gentleman working the desk that night of July 3rd, 2020, did not tell management of the situation. Again, they played it off as red fingernail polish. I even provided pictures of the blood splattered throughout the hotel room with the room number with my complaint.They still to this day are claiming it was red fingernail polish. I travel multiple states for work and I am a platinum member at most hotel chains. I will never stay in Marriott or an affiliate of Marriott again. This would never had been acceptable at any hotel with the Wyndham or IHG chains.

Nice clean place people are nice and respectful very very nice room from the money I will stay again

Our room was reasonably clean (found some forgotten belongings under the bed & in the couch) and the staff were all VERY friendly! I lost an expensive pair of wireless headphones while staying here and the front desk was incredibly helpful in trying to help me find them. Their outdoor grill and fireplace was very clean and well-maintained, and overall it was just a really well-kept hotel. The pool was fantastic and the scheduled blocks were great for accommodating COVID-19 restrictions! However, they have left out the public use TV remotes yet took away the basketballs due to COVID concerns which seems incongruous with their other precautions.

Rooms were nice, clean; however won’t be staying here again anytime soon as after driving 8 hours, found out the pool that was supposed to be open until 11pm, closes now at 7pm☹ufe0f
