Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Mahwah

Amazing hotel with some wonderful staff. Dominique took the time and effort (along with Gus) to help make sure we had a great stay. When my significant other and I arrived for a few days at Bear Mountain, Dominique made sure we knew were to go, what was going on with the area and how to get to certain locations. She was attentive, kind, caring and took care of us the whole time. I could not sing the praises of this hotel enough. The staff are friendly and kind! The people are motivated to provide good service and everyone has a wonderful attitude. If you plan to explore the local area, take the time to stay at this hotel.

Hotel was very clean. They were extremely accommodating even during this pandemic. The safety precautions were all in place with sanitizing stations, social distancing etc. What really impressed me was that the pool was open with only allowing one family at a time with reserved slots. They also had breakfast bags prepared in the morning with individually wrapped bagels, muffins, cream cheese and juice. Very well done! I would definitely stay there again!

Loved our vacation away from homeud83eudd29. All things considering this location had time slots for pool usage which minimized the crowds. Unfortunately there was no breakfast included which it states that online and threw marriot website. But all in all it was a wonderful stay!!!

This was the perfect overnight stay after a day of hiking the beautiful Torrey Trail. The price couldn’t be beat for what we got: two hours of pool time (COVID-accommodation: you can reserve one hour per day when you check in, and you get the whole pool for your party - sorry, peeps, no hot tub), a free breakfast (bagged bagel and muffin with apple juice - another COVID-accommodation), clean rooms (when booking, check to see if your room has what you need [bc ours didn’t have a fridge, microwave or safe - which was okay bc it was cheap and we didn’t need those things, we only needed the hairdryer] but they also provide a small pack of wipes in each room!) and facilities, mobile-device controlled TV with Netflix access (if you subscribe), ample parking, and great location (near plenty of restaurants and fast food places, which comes at a small price [highway noise]). I would suggest a nightlight if you travel with little ones, since rooms are pitch black with curtains drawn and lights off, and a noise machine to help muffle small noises around; also, it is very much worth it to step out to grab breakfast and coffee, you have many options in the area (if you cherish your morning coffee, take my advice). I can’t end this without mentioning the friendly staff: Dominique had such a great phone and in-person rapport with me, she made me feel at home; and Batrice (sp?) was extremely helpful in providing towels, toiletries and honest advice about local eateries. I Would definitely stay again and recommend this place to family/friends.
