Residence Inn by Marriott Orangeburg Rockland/Bergen

I have stayed here twice in the last month, nice getaway away from the city for the weekend and for work. There’s a supermarket and food places very close by. Everything is at a close distance. Rooms are spacious and I love how I can connect my Netflix/Amazon Video to the TV.nnThe only thing that was a miss for me is the breakfast options, and the room service cleaning. The morning front desk are so much welcoming than the evening on both occasions I have stayed.nnI will def be coming back as this my new go to hotel to enjoy a weekend with my significant other.

My stay here was wonderful. The room and staff were great. The breakfast in a bag was helpful. I will return as soon as possible. Every effort has been made during the pandemic.nI stayed in room 327 and didn’t notice the train until I was outside in the parking area leaving for the airport. I slept well both nights and recommend ear plugs for all travelers.

The place was a dream. Comfy beds and couch. The shower has a nice pressure to it feeling like a down pour in a hurricane. A must try for anyone visiting. Only 13 minutes from the palisades mall

Rooms are spacious. The bathroom is nice. The kitchen is good for what it is... basic cooking/reheating.nnThe walls and ceiling are very thin. Expect to hear everything from neighbors and people above you. Conversations, TVs, footsteps, toilets flushing, doors slamming in hallway, etc. It's the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel. Zero soundproofing was attempted when this hotel was constructed.nnWe stayed two nights during the phase 3 reopening of the pandemic. We were given a room on the 2nd floor even though I requested a room on a higher floor. I was told that they are doing construction on the higher floors (which was extremely loud, by the way). All the guests were packed together in one wing of the hotel... it was very noisy. People were blasting music, smoking weed, TVs were on high volumes... walking down the hallway, I thought I was in a frat house. It was ridiculous. No housekeeping services and only grab and go breakfast even though the area was in Phase 3 of reopening which means all restaurants were allowed to be open...so you would think that the hotel could also open fully with their restaurant. I stayed at 2 other hotels in phase 3, all had housekeeping, and all had full restaurants and rooms service. This hotel was the worst ran. I would NEVER stay here again, pandemic or not. What a joke and waste of money. I stay at hotels for the amenities and service... if I just wanted a bed with loud neighbors smoking weed, I would stay at hostels.

Me and my guy need time away from our daily routine and this place was just the spot. Room was welcoming and comfortable. Also was not far from all the local sites.
