Royal Park International Hotel

I thought it was great. It was simple enough for me. How to get used to sharing bathrooms. But that was no problem. Would have appreciated a face cloth along with the two towels that were provided. I was under the impression that each room had a small refrigerator. But instead there was one Community refrigerator downstairs . A little inconvenient but workable .

Stayed here because my friend and I needed a place to stay for a weekend trip. He booked a double bed room. The building is a older building, the elevator is slow and old. You use an actual key for your room, not a key card. It was a shared bathroom, so everyone on that side of the building shared it. . The TV didn't work, the room was cold and had a space heater in the corner we had to use in an outlet where it hardly stayed in place and would occasionally turn off. The ceiling fan metal string hang really low so be careful, I almost lost and eye. The outlets was places in weird spots compare to the beds and the walls where thin. You heard everything. However not all bad.The bed was comfortable to sleep on. It was located close to the subway 1,2,3 train.

We got the double room with bathroom and it was great! The room was a cold, the bathroom was a little dirty looking (might be the old style needs updating) the hallways smelled gross, some of the hand towels had brown stains all over them but there were lots of clean fresh towels for us. The place overall needs updating however you just can’t beat the price. Keep in mind people this is a hostel not hotel. You get what you pay for here in New York so for $75 not bad not bad at all. Location is great it’s around everything, neighborhood is quiet and close to attractions and subway. I’m satisfied because we didn’t pay a lot. If you want an immaculate room get a 4-5 star hotel and pay $400 plus tax and resort fees.

Rooms are small and basic but clean, comfortable, and quiet. Bathroom is shared and is also clean. Fresh towels are provided. Not much of anything in the way of extra amenities but the staff are friendly and helpful. Location and price are great for Manhatten.
