DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Fort Lee - George Washington Bridge

I’ve stayed here in the past and absolutely loved it. Clean hotel with friendly staff. This time around though, post COVID....everything is broken. Booked a king bed room, walked into a 2 double bed. No big deal, fixed easily. New room.... TV wouldn’t turn on, but also an easy fix. Thermostat completely broken. Even in OCTOBER, room couldn’t get warmer than 76. Light fixtures next to the bed, switches loose and had to screw back in to turn on. Disappointed for the price of the room and rating.

REMODEL AND GUT RENOVATE. PLEASE!nThis is probably the most run down hotel in the Hilton chain.nThe smell when you walk in is of old carpet and light dampness leading one to ask if there may be any mold.nThe Front desk staff is very variable and hit or miss, depending on who you get.nThe main hall with the double staircase coming down has huge potential to be beautiful and I’m sure once back in the day, early 90s or late 80s is my guess, was very grand.nThe elevators are old with faded chipped wood, dull and tarnished brass or gold, I’m not really sure what they were supposed to be, decorations and buttons. the same old carpet matching the staircase as well as the rest of the first floor was in the elevator.nThe rooms are of the same caliber and I don’t need to keep painting the picture of bare wood to patch up broken points of holding up the curtains. Old windows with no easy way to open them through plexi-glass but if you persevere, it can be done.nNot that I’m looking for one right now but this is one of the few hotels with outany Bibles in the room.nThe comment about the heat not working at the end of October is true. Their heating system is only a TEMPORARY setting and then you have to figure out how hold it. Set it to be nice and toasty every hour or so and then it goes back to 62.nLastly, the comment about their not honoring a Priceline agreement is also true. I was also duped but had to stay due to the location and geographical requirements I had. This is probably one of the few reasons it has been able to stay alive.... location, location, location.

We booked a king bedroom from priceline, they do not honor the promise and offered us a double bed room. After a frustrating fight. We get a king room with bad mold smell. Now I am spending my night in the parking lot as I can no longer stand the bad smell in the room. I will never book any room from Hilton!

Clean, quiet, Profesional. The appeal of the room is very neat 8 of 10. Room carpet at clean and neat 7.5 of 10. Bed are nicely tucked and clean love the mattress 9 of 10. I have no complains. Room service: 7 of 10.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Hotel didn't have power when I tried to check in, Front Desk Manager said they could not check me in and offered me a refund, I asked for proof of refund and he gave me his business card (because no power, couldn't print anything or use computers) and said to call him if there were any issues. 5 days later no refund I call the number on the business card and the manger is conveniently not there. Associate I spoke to claims I already got my refund and to take it up with my bank. They then denied the claim with my bank saying I knew the cancellation policy. DO NOT STAY HERE. Customer Service is not up to par.
