Motel 6 Tigard, OR - Portland Southwest

Great location, has all the major food stores and restaurants in the area. Freeway is just down the street for easy access. Hotel rooms are nicely renovated and beds are comfortable. Only downside, it has a bar located in the same plaza so be prepared for loud and intoxicated patrons.

Well, first of all, let me begin by saying that it IS a Motel 6. Therefore, I get it, but this one in particular has been too much. If you have a pet, you’ll be asked to take them to do their business by the dumpster behind the bar/restaurant next to the Motel 6, the motel doesn’t have any grass for them go do the do. Just as well, they had a construction crew working on the sidewalk outside of our room (on a Sunday). They were breaking concrete, so you can imagine how loud their generator/machinery was. Oh, yeah not to mention, last night (Saturday 07/04), there was a ruckus outside, a “guest” and his female companion were yelling and causing a scene. The guy was kicking other guest’s doors, for no apparent reason. You had people yelling from their room (at other guests) around 23:30, asking them to keep it down because people were trying to sleep. So, if you want to actually rest, pay a bit more, like we had originally started to do. We chose this motel out of pure convenience, but we have regretted every minute of it. The rooms themselves are very clean and comfortable, it seems as if they have been recently renovated. Oh, but they do not have a mini fridge or a microwave. If you order food, make sure you’ll be able to finish it since you won’t be able to store it. If it hadn’t been for the ruckus last night and the construction crew on a Sunday, we would have given it at least 4 starts, but it has been too nosy and too much commotion. And no, we’re not a family of complainers. Oh, one more thing, they do not have a laundry room.

Don’t bother trying to call the phone number as they will just promptly hang the phone up on you one second after picking up! During our stay if we had asked the male employee who works evening for towels ect he would scowl and reluctantly get said items. Horrible customer service we will not be back.

Much better place now .......only if the had gotten ridden of the old managers. The guy is a creep.
