I'll point out by saying I'm the general manager of a motel and live on property. My fiance and I just needed to escape for the night, and we didn't want a generic hotel/motel for obvious reasons.nThis place is wonderful. The architecture and decor is fantastic.nJim greeted us when we walked in and we chatted for some time, some shop talk but mainly him and my guy just shooting the proverbial $hit. It was way cool.nnI had booked the Master Suite and as we're newly engaged added the romance package. It was well worth it.nnThe breakfast was amazing, and the grounds are stunning. Room was very clean.nHighly recommend. We'll be back in the spring, hopefully I'll get to meet Carol.nnThank you guys for your awesome hospitality.
I loved my stay at this enchanting bed and breakfast. I couldn't have built a better place to stay myself. The hospitality was spectacular and the food was amazing! The house itself is a treasure and Jim and Carol are saints. It was better than I even hoped for.
Would like to give a higher rating but we had issues with a couple of items. First we didn’t sleep well because the bed had a plastic sheet underneath the regular sheet that was relatively stiff. Every time we rolled over in bed the underlying plastic sheet made crinkle noises that would wake us. Then when you’re lying on a plastic sheet the bed cannot “breathe” properly so you feel damp and clammy. I haven’t seen plastic sheets since my kid sister used to wet the bed.nnMy second issue is the room door could not be locked when we were away. We were not comfortable with trusting everyone in the house so we kept valuables locked in the car.
We loved it. We went for brief getaway from our hectic schedules. Jim and Carol were awesome and it was like visiting old friends.The Victorian decor and relaxing room made for a restful night sleep made the experience. we'll definitely be going back and suggesting others to experience it
I love this place! It's like home, except with fun family members. Having special dietary needs, Carol created wonderful breakfasts. I would definitely recommend staying here while checking out Minot.
