Took my bike in for a tune up, new bottom bracket, and chain replacement. It ran much better before I had them work on it. Lots of noise out of the derailleur and poor shifting. As I live two hours away taking it back is not an option. I would not recommend Val’s if you need it done right the first time.

My bike suffered a nasty breakdown on 4th-of-July weekend during a x-country tour and was in need of some pretty extensive repairs. I took my bike into Val's and Rorey got to work on it straight away. By the end of the afternoon, after working some serious magic, he had fixed everything he could, replaced only what needed to be replaced, and had my bike tuned up and ready for the road. As a touring cyclist with more than a few similar experiences under my belt the whole experience blew me away!nnI'm writing this review after having ridden over 100 miles post-repairs and it feels like a whole new bike (in the best ways). Thank you for your efforts, time, and skill in getting me back on the road so quickly, and for be repair-minded rather than replace-minded. You've set a very high bar for future mechanics to meet.
