Reluctantly, in August my wife and I traveled...from Tucson AZ to Chicago for the funeral of my 91 year-old aunt. This 30-hour road trip was just too long to not overnight somewhere. So we picked Wichita...and DoubleTree Wichita Airport. And what a TERRIFIC choice. This hotel was convenient, clean and comfortable...and more importantly, practiced all COVID-19 protocols. That warrants 5 Stars now...and on our next trip. Many thanks to management of DoubleTree Wichita Airport.
Not suitable for airlines crew members. No microwave in rooms and you have to get to the lobby through a lengthy walk before you can heat your food. The elevator is not well positioned for easy access to the lobby.
The hotel was clean, covid protocols were in place, everyone was so nice and professional. The restaurant staff made the stay all the better. The Chisholm staff was amazing!! They made us feel so a welcome and were so helpful. Nel was incredible. Alyssa was so friendly. Patty was knowledgeable. More importantly, the burger was perfection. We can’t wait to come back!

They are doing everything right in the midst of the pandemic! Hand sanitizer stations everywhere. Shields and a host of other items. I love the way that the rooms are sealed.nThe front desk was amazing and super friendly. Check in was a breeze and the two gentleman that worked the night I checked in made us feel at home! Way to go Doubletree, you outdid yourselves again!
