I was a little skeptical about staying here but after the first night I was completely satisfied with the place. Very clean and well kept and the owner was very respectful and willing to do whatever to make the stay enjoyable. I give Backyard Lodge a 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. I forgot to mention that the rates are very affordable.
The rooms are beautiful... The staff is courteous. And the customers are a delight. They are Mitchell County Strong People. I recommend them often. They are essential to our community. Proud to know them....
Very thoughtful upgrade to an older facility. Could use some sound insulation between rooms. Affordable, some rooms have their own covered parking. Clean.
Best shower of my life! This was the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. Management was incredibly helpful and accomodating for our late night check-in. I would definitely recommend staying here over other chain hotels in the area. Thanks again!
Quaint, old looking hotel with updated room! We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into our room. We weren't quite sure what to expect but our room was very clean and up to date. Beds were comfortable, air conditioner worked great, instant hot water. The gentleman we dealt with was so friendly. We didn't use it, but there was a kitchen available to use as well. We will definitely stay here when we are back in the area. Loved this place!
