La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Kansas City Lenexa

Was a quiet location. Room didn't seem clean because there is candy on the floor and a random banana in the drawer. Also I'm not sure if it's because it was the bottom floor why we kept seeing earwigs especially at night. The staff was helpful the housekeeping what go in your room unless you have a do not disturb sign even if you are in their sleeping and it's 7 or 8 a.m.

The hotel is still being remodeled and is very clean. Pool was closed. They did offer a grab n go breakfast. However, we were charged twice for our stay. It took awhile to get the front desk to understand that it happened. And finally called someone to help. They assured us it would fall off our bank statement.

Front desk worker was helpful in picking a room to accommodate our elderly dog. Room was large. Rough around the edges, but clean. There was a $15 pet fee which most La Quintas don’t have.

Good value! The room was nice. Better than expected. Clean and well-appointed. Laminate floor, microwave, fridge. Excellent location near a Sam's Club, Costco, 24 hr convenience store, restaurants, shopping plaza and mall.

My self and family recently stayed here this past weekend. I am not very familiar with the area so had a friend help. I booked here in advance because of the amenities, such as pool and continental breakfast and price. As soon as we got there the first thing we saw was the pool was nasty and green. We explained to the receptionist that we were very disappointed with them not explaining on the website to their guest that the pool would not be available due to covid. Then we asked about the continental breakfast which was not available as well and was told. That they only offer muffins and coffee.by that time i was definitely ready to get a refund or cancel. So we asked to speak to a manager. The receptionist called and explained the situation and we were told that he did not want to speak with me and that we would not get a discount for the false advertising. I then decided i would try and find somewhere else but i was traveling with 7 children who were tired and cranky and was ready to just get out of the van. So i just did not have the patients to search for another hotel so i went ahead and stayed. I booked 2 rooms 1 of them was acceptable but the room i was in had scuffed up walls and the sink had stopped up so i had to go back and let the same receptionist know so she switched my room and the air conditioning was not very cold just cool on the lowest temp. I just could not believe it. I was so ready to check. Out sun that i didnt even stay the whole time was out there early morning. The front evening staff is not friendly and just really didn't care about your experience. However the housekeeper was very friendly and took the time to give both rooms a clean set of towls even though she was the only one there that day to clean the whole hotel. I felt so bad for her. So if you stay here its definitely at your own risk.
