Acres Estates Mobile Home Park

Looked through the park to get an idea for somebody else to rent there. Go left and it's nice, go right and it's messy. The entrance needs some work. The children's park needs updated. Not a bad place. Landlord needs to invest a bit more to make it nicer.

The good: The park is clean, well maintained and a secure and convenient location. The lawns are mowed regularly by park staff and kept looking pristine. Roads are without potholes and the speed bumps located strategically to avoid the hazards presented by speeding vehicles.nnThe bad: There is one trash service allowed within the park. Unfortunately, it is one that is quite difficult to get in touch with. The playground equipment is scarce and I believe that is due the management's desire to weed out families with small children from the park. I believe they would prefer only adults reside here. While that is a common change that has taken place in this type of community, it is frustrating.nnThe ugly: The biggest bone of contention I have found is the management staff themselves, namely Marie. Rather than being professional and communicative, she is quite hostile with anything she perceives as less than favorable. She makes unfounded accusations. I have heard from several residents of the park that this is not behavior exhibited only toward myself. Many long time residents have complaints since she has become manager. I have been seeking contact information for the park owners to file a formal complaint. All in all, this would be a lovely place to live if not for the management.nnAn update. I am at the end of my rope with this woman. She is now sinking to the level of calling my minor children retarded and, when confronted, becoming horribly hostile and insulting. She lacks the basic maturity required to deal with residents.

I have lived here 12 years and this is the best the park has been managed. The new owners have jumped right in with positive changes and my wife Manages the park. Roach complaints should really be dismissed, like any neighborhood, if you have roaches maybe look at yourself and figure it out, we have never had roaches and the people I know have never had roaches. It’s not hard to just follow the stated rules, when people don’t want to follow rules then you have to answer for that. Management will come knocking when you decide not to follow, you can’t blame a Manager for doing what they were hired to do.

The new owners have made great changes. I manage the park and in the past 12 months we have made even more changes for the better of the neighborhood. Some of the changes are not popular with some people, stricter rules generally causes problems with those that do not want to follow them. This park IS NOT roach infested, if you have roaches you should probably ask yourself why! Or... at least live here before you make that claim. I have family and friends that live their and its been terrible. The lady that owns the park is beyond rude. They will dictate whatever you’re allowed to have in your yard or even your porch. Theres roaches even if you have a clean house in the park. Same with mice. This place is an all around bad experience. You couldnt pay me to live there.
