Great service and beautiful hotel. The gym was also great. More breakfast options would be nice, as well as a wifi service that's actually free(I got charged about $20 when it should've been free during my stay).
The rooms are really small and cozy. But why would you want a large room that you are not spending time in. There is not much i can say about this hotel except that i habe stayed there twice and i really love it and wholeheartedly recommend it.
Renovations in this hotel are very nice and modern. However, we were stuck with a very small room with a tiny bathroom. It was impossible to get ready in the mirror without things constantly falling off the sink. I was crawling around on the floor more than I ever have in a hotel bathroom looking for my stuff.. My husband and I couldn't even get ready for bed together it was so small. We stayed here for a wedding and booked the same room as many other guests yet their rooms had pull out couches and bathrooms 3 times the size. I asked the front desk about the size of the rooms and they said there was nothing they could do, room sizes vary.... but for the same price??? In this case price per room should really be based on the size of the room, not the size of the bed. Sure felt ripped off.. Also, the bathroom light switch was on the wall around the door from the bathroom. Quite inconvenient and not a natural place for a switch. I found myself constantly going in the bathroom then coming back out and opening the door and turning the light on. Lastly, sheets were wrinkled and there were no fridges in the standard rooms either. I will say, the bed was very comfy and the modern window blinds were nice. They kept the room quite dark.
Had a great stay. Clean big room, 2 tvs, and nice view. The manager and employees were informative and great. Close the restaurants and bars. Best hotel in Des Moines, Iowa!
This is an old place NOT suitable for airlines crew members. Has no microwave or fridge in rooms, the hot water comes after 27mn of non stop running. The only microwave in the lobby is always dirty and disgusting. Staff even suggesting storing your food in their fridge in the lobby. ( crazy right?). If you are on the last 11th floor ( the penthouse), you have to come to the lobby for you to be able to warm up your food. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CREW.
