Action Roofing & Construction

Action Roofing is a great company. They have been inspecting my roof for more than 4 years, after storms, and have never offer something is not needed. Their prices are competitive.

We had a great experience with Action Roofing - good pricing and great work that lasts. Our roof is now about 2 years old and we have had zero issues. Office staff were responsive and the crew that did the work were hard working and efficient.

Outstanding company to work with! They fixed a problem for us that another roofing company tried and failed. Superb communication and quality of work from start to finish!

I really was hoping based on others reviews that I would have a spectacular experience. I had John come out and take a look at my issue. He said it should easily be under $1K to fix it up and should take full day maybe a bit more. I get an estimate that it will be $1400ish. I figured they aim high and bill lower. I was wrong.nnTwo guys and John come out to my house to start the work. John openly disrespects me to his employees right in front of my camera. I am not appreciative on how he talked about me. (-1 star for professionalism)nnJohn leaves and the two guys get to work. One worker and one apprentice or helper of some sort. The apprentice sat in the car most of the time, but this is fine. I'm sure it is an OSHA thing. They change their plans and finish working in 4.5hrs. Much less time than the original estimate. (-1 star for not following our agreement)nnI check their work and my roof still leaks. (-1 star) One guy comes back and fixes it, free of charge. This was very good service. (+1 star) Not sure about being OSHA happy since there was just one guy on a ladder...but the repair was fixed up and everything is great from a repair standpoint. Very satisfied. (+1 star)nnI receive a bill for the full $1400 estimate. I was shocked to say the least. I asked for a line item receipt and they refused to do so. (-1 star) John eventually wrote some stuff down. $110 an hour for both the apprentice and the normal employee. This rate is much higher than others in our area. His list even included things he said they would do for free. It very much looked to be a stretch to get the numbers to add up. (-1 star)nnI definitely won't be using or recommending them to anybody in the near future, but I can also see that they do do good work. Don't let my review completely dissuade you from hiring them, just keep in mind that they are expensive and their estimates are full on quotes. They can change their agreement to a cheaper alternative to shave time and labor off, but your bill will not reflect this.nnIt is just a bummer overall. I had such great hopes and expectations. Our original meetup was such a good experience. Once I signed that contract it all went downhill.

Look, sometimes just getting a contractor to call you back is a challenge. Action Roofing is an A+ provider that is very responsive. They certainly do a great job on the work, but also keep you up to date on what is happening, their schedule and how it impacts your job, and they always return your call. I've had some struggles getting help with my roof especially because of the pitch (very steep), and Action Roofing was there for me right away. Can't recommend them enough.
