Newer property, very clean and well maintained. Front desk staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was very clean and comfortable.

I am on a road trip, and normally, i would choose road side (aka Schitt's Creek) type of places. However, with all that's going on with Covid-19, i thought i would stay at mainstream places - i assumed they would follow all the recommended proceeders. The night before last, i stayed at the Fairfield in Rochester MN - they were fantastic about informing the guest through signage all over the hotel and in guest rooms about the changes they were making due to Covid-19 - so i thought, great i'll stay at another Fairfield in EGF. i should have realized there was a problem when i checked in - the guy behind the counter - no mask (which is a state mandate), the other patrons in the hotel - no mask's. No staff at the front desk during the breakfast hours to mandate mask usage. Absolutely no signage about the pandemic, either in public spaces or in the guest room.nnAlso, this part of EGF has a particularly bad smell - something between rotten eggs and manure. Now, the hotel is in a rural part of the country - the manure smell is to be expected, but the rotten eggs smell was new. And the hotel's AC system can't seem to stop it fully from coming into the room.nnAnd lastly, this is for ALL Fairfields - improve your pillows. they're really quite bad.
Came here for the FIRST 2020 Robotics Competition Great Northern Regional. Front desk receptionist was always polite, rooms were very well put together, and we were even allowed to use the TV one night for a presentation / meeting. Thank you so much Fairfield!
