Econo Lodge West I-29 West Acres Mall

What a pleasant change from my experience here 3 years ago... Sherrie, Steve, Joanna, Amber and Tim are the most friendly, courteous, and professional staff in Fargo... Destiny, the Regional Manager, handled a minor issue in record time and definitely gets extremely high Professionalism marks from me. I recommend this inexpensive alternative as a must stay... The place is clean and the room was much better than I expected... Zero smoke smells, no animal odors, a comfortable bed and a shower that runs hot... not what you get at most bargain hotels...close to dining and drinking establishments... do yourself a favor and save some $$$ at this rare find.

Hot water and cold water taps are reversed, the toilet lid is loose, play shower curtain rod has been drilled several times and nothing has been patched. The floor tiles are dirty and in the corners does not look like they've been cleaned. The baseboard carpet is Lewis and coming off. The window does not shut completely and cold air comes in there is a gap. Heating air conditioning unit is destroyed in the cover is broken there is blue stuff inside of it not sure what it is. Furthermore not a single lamp does not have a scratch or a dent on it, there's only a skinny blanket on the bed. It's one thing to have an economically wise room, it's another thing to have a room that has no maintenance and very very obvious misses that should be look after. Lastly,  why advertise a hot tub if it's out of order? That's false advertising and shame on you. Shame on you for it all.

Pool and hot tub were broken, when we said that was the reason for staying they said they couldn’t give us a refund. Got to our room and the toilet didn’t work. We chose not to stay and while walking out asked why we were not staying, seems self explanatory to me. When I called on Monday to speak with a manager no one available I was given a phone number, no answer. I left a message to call me back, nothing. Called 2 days later thinking they were busy, that’s life, left another message nothing! Horrible I would never recommend this place to anyone.

For the money it's ok. Nothing special. The tv wasn't working at first and there was no remote. They brought a one to the room, but it didn't work. The heater was turned to cold ( in January) but it warmed up quickly. The room worked for being stranded in Fargo for the night. I would look for something nicer if I had my family with or was staying for a longer period.

I would stay away from this run down place, the only thing going for the place was the staff.. Yes its cheap I get it but its run down and not very clean and rooms falling apart.. I would rather just stay in my car then waste my money here again
