Wingate by Wyndham Fargo

Our stay started out good but ended as a nightmare. We checked in on Thursday October 22 as my dad had an emergency heart surgery and the weekday staff was great and friendly. First impression of hotel and room seemed clean and spacious. But after the first night we found something decaying in the safe in the closet after following an odor that kept offending us. The second night the door continued and we found a rotten and moldy half eaten apple under the dresser. Then the weekend staff started and WOW it went from bad to horrible! I went to get my breakfast on Saturday and the front desk person was very irritated and rude. He explained the other person coming in would get me the food (breakfast is at 7, it was 7:30) so I asked how late it would be. He sighed and said I will get it I guess. Then the other front desk person, Coco, came in, apparently late, while I waited and the two of them got into an argument. I grabbed my breakfast and left as it made me uncomfortable. Then we found out we needed to stay an extra night as my dad had to stay longer in the hospital so Coco took care of it but apparently didn't update housekeeping. So housekeeping knocked on the door and very rudely asked if we are going to leave soon. We told them we were staying, to which she snapped at us, stating we cannot just choose stay without asking and said we needed to let them know at the front desk. We explained that we had on three occasions talked to the front desk worker about extending our stay. Then she just walked away seeming very irritated with us. We are staying this last night and looking for a different hotel for the rest of our stay. Being here for the reason we were was stressful enough, but the weekend staff pushed us over the edge. I would not recommend this hotel, only gave two stars because of my first impression but it truly deserves just one star for overall.

Service was great. They were very friendly and answered all my questions. The room was great. The only complaint is they had two body lotions and no hair conditioner so had to ask the front desk for conditioner and there were two dirty wash clothes in the room. One was in the closet and the other one left on the shower rod in the bathroom. Other than that everything was great. Would reccomend staying at this hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Great room. Great price. Literally no issues at all. Very nice staff and very accommodating.

I've been staying here consistency for work for the past few months, usually once a night every two weeks.nnThe staff are friendly and considerate (considering COVID) and the rooms are modern and comfortable.nnMy favorite aspect of the rooms are complimentary Ethernet cable that is provided at the work desk. This is has made travel and doing work in the evening so much more smooth.nnMy only con is that most of the bathtubs/showers are a bit outdated and the shower heads are one out of four very bad. Normally it's fine and they work for what they are, but maybe two nights out of ten I've had a terrible shower head.nnIn-room amenities are average and expected. Nothing bad nor outstanding about them.nnAll in all, great stay.

Room is not what I or my wife would consider clean. Gym not open until 7? Do you guys not realize people that use gyms when traveling usually do so at 5:00am? So no gym or pool until 7 am....on top of that there ‘Covid breakfast’ Has zero warm options. Sad that all the food places in town are open but you guys can’t serve a decent meal? Or at least hand out some warm sandwiches? Lame. Bed sucks to...definitely stay elsewhere for the money!
