Paul and Bette are lovely hosts! Our room was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with Paul’s cooking (and his scones) living up to their reputation! We will be back many times, I’m sure, over the next 4 years at UConn!
We spent a night here to celebrate our anniversary. Paul and Bette were so welcoming, and provided great suggestions for local hikes and places for dinner. We loved the friendly, laid back atmosphere, checking out the chickens providing the eggs for breakfast, and admiring Bette’s beautiful quilting and needlework throughout the house. Lots of cool antiques to see in all the rooms, and the house itself is really special. Breakfast by Paul was incredible - we hope to visit again soon!

Stayed with our 3 month old baby for a near by wedding. The 1694 room was only a little more pricey than the best western with our aaa discount. What an amazing value! Comfy bed- spacious room and gorgeous decor and mosaic tile in the bathroom. Our hosts were absolutely warm and engaging in lovely conversation. The breakfasts were decadent! Farm fresh egg omelettes, homemade scones and breads....poached pears and crepes with ricotta and lemon...Nutella and banana..OMG!!! I would highly recommend the Stone Arches and hope to visit them again.
We arranged for my cousin and her husband to stay here for two nights. They were extremely pleased with this very, very charming bed and breakfast, and with the total comfort of their bed. Each room here is different and appealing, as are the common rooms. I was fortunate enough to join them for two delicious breakfasts, which were excellent and elegant, prepared by Paul, a gourmet chef. The table settings are totally changed each day by Bette, and are all very attractive and inviting. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. This is a unique experience. We'd all love to go back soon!
